I have a colleague looking to build a seagrass exhibit using shoal grass Halodule beaudettei (previously known as H. wrightii) for displaying a local habitat found here in the bay. Has anyone had any past or previous experience keeping seagrasses or even those with experience in macro alga's that would have similar system needs. We're looking for primarily specific features in order for them to grow such as changes in lighting or CO2 levels and dosage methods.

Currently the system is setup with two 400W MH lights with CO2 diffusers going into each tank (3) that are all on the same system.

Temp 80.2
Salinity 33ppt
pH 8.14
NH4 0.01
NO2 0.006
NO3 0.0

Cheers

I will try and get back with you in a the next few days. Sorry super busy!!
I was just about to say try chris85 haha. I have a satellite tank full of macro for bio filtration. It has calerpa prolifora. I think I have seen people grow Sea lettuce in reef setups before. I have a couple other varieties of macro, but no grasses.

I don’t have any so you can take what I am saying for only thought. I would imagine that grasses will do best in a muddy substrate, high nutrient levels, and high yellowish light at about 6,500 kelvin.
