Super start. Nice balance of equipment. Fair warning about borbo's. They are very reefsafe, but indscriminate about what/who they eat. "what fits" is usually the rule with them.....shrimp and smaller fish might be snacks.

Sure this will be an awesome build.

Love the ADA tank Jack. I like the dark blue background...black is ok too. The 2-MP 10 plus the return flow is more than enough for that tank.

Is the overflow a custom job? Why did you choose a glass overflow?

I have a 90P and I had no background on it for a while and didn't like it, but then I put a black one and I like it a lot more, gives a lot more color to the corals.

Nice setup. Agree about the black background making tank colors standout more.

I'm a big fan of hanging fixtures with rimless tanks. The point of rimless, IMO, is the clean aesthetic appeal. Setting a light fixture on top of the tank detracts from that look.

Looks good, only thing I could think of would be turn that big flat looking rock on its side ad create a cave/ledge with it.

Also did your tank come with the overflow teeth? In this case it would raise your water level a little and maybe slow the flow down, and quiet it down....

Great tank though, take some pics of the sump if possible.

Looks good but I would go for something with a little more height on the aqua scape. Make use of more of the vertical space and less of the sandbed. Your flow also seems to be created some beaches up front.

I am using a minimalist approach with my rock-work as I expect the coral colonies will fill out. However, it does provide less sanctuary for fish. I expect that I'll be adding more rock as time goes by.

thanks

alex- yes it came w the teeth. i put it on already . just did not put it on in the pic ( water level is pretty scary high )

copingsaw- i might put more rocks in later on, but not now. i might re aquascape to make the rocks cover most of the overflow and an open end on the right side.

reefaddict- thanks

mpwolken- same, but i tried to create caves and hiding areas for the fish. hopefully that will be enough.

what do you guys think- will 2x mp10s plus my return be enough?

or 3x mp10 or mp40+mp10

and kalk reactor or 2 part dosing? i already have a kalk reactor but i have been using 2 part for the last 2 months and is liking the results.
