SSB and jawfish
Get oyster shells from a local oysterbar (1960 W of 249) or
Galveston bayside beds. Kill the oysters (if alive), wash in
warm, soapy water, dry in sun, bleach (1/4 cup bleach in a
gallon of water) for half a day, rinse in clear waterseveral
times and let sit for a day. Dry in sun. Crush the shells with
a hammer and closelyplace vertically in the SSB. The fish
will know what to do. OR simply but a bag of crushed sea
shell from a LFS. Move some of the sand aside, place the
shell on the bottom and sift some sand on top of the shell
to fill the spaces. The fish will know what to do.
This method works well with blennies, gobies and pistol shrimp.
