Have anyone locally try these ph yet? Lots of forum around the country is raving about how cheap it's compare to 5 mp40 ecotech or tunze and work just as good.

If you're main objective is to make waves, and you don't need all the other features of the Vortech, it looks like a great alternative.
Why pay for stuff you don't care about?

Been following this thread on RC, be advised you'll need to take a week of work to read trough it.
114 pages with each 25 post.......................total 2850 post, good luck!
Long story short and that's with all in this hobby "you get what you paid for"

I spend 2 hrs the other day reading all rc post lol. I'm just like everyone out there trying to save a few buck if possible, figure that with the vortec U can by 5 of these n if they last for atlease a year then I'm good. Some have successfully hook these to controller n that is a plus beside I'm not a real reefer n mostly fowlr n some basic Coral and these thing make impressive wave. Vortec power at a aqueon price, work for me

Nam,
Just google and you'll see many videos/Reviews. Most of the reviews are positive.

I actually want a couple for back up just in case something happens to my MP40/MP60 which is not unusual.

I think 1 for your 140 is more than enough to make a decent wave. If you're SPS dominant, you'll want 2.

I have 6 on the way. 4 for buddies of mine and 2 for me. I'm connecting my to my Apex on a spare tank and going to play around with different codes I've got from other guys. You can set them up to do anything a Tunze or MP40 will do... Well... That's the theory. I've never seen anyone do it personally, other than online.

Diesel's right though... you do get what you pay for in this hobby. I'd have a hard time fully relying on these as my primary wavemakers... Time, as they say, always tells.

Waiting for the WP-25, according to other forums the release date should be any time now. Should have about the output as the mp10's. Rumored to be in the $30~ range.

Yeah that's cool you can actually sync it.

The price difference is drastic ~$110 for Jebo versus ~$450 for the Vortech. So mathematically speaking even if you change the Jebo once a year it’s still cheaper than the Vortech plus you get a nice clean pump every year :). And the MPs will not last for four years without changing something, such as the wet side ($100 value)/bearing/power supply. I love my MPs (40/60) but the price is insane for most of the general reefers.

I’m glad we have China (wait a minute China actually owns US) to balance out the market just a little with cheaper LEDs and PH. I just love free market.

Enough politics, back to reefing.

When is the nano version of the pump is coming out? I'm sure there is a smaller version...

Everything I've read on the mp-25 suggests a late April release but if it is late April, they'd better get a move on!
Really interested in the mp-25 for my 40 breeder, if the rumours are to be believed, it should be in the 30 dollar range, a fully functional wave maker for the price of the cheapest koralia!

Wow $30 will be insane. This will put a hurting with voted, maybe now they will lower their price to a reasonable stander where I don't have to spend $1000 on 2 powerhead
