I woke up this morning at 3:40 and couldnt go back to sleep, so I decided to smoke a cigarette. I left them on my computer desk so i was walking past my tank n the living room and didnt notice anything out of the ordinary. I lit my cigarette, took a few drags and decided I would go and check out my tank for a minute. I start walking over and something catches my eye on the ground, it was my diamond goby. I have two but this was the smaller of the two. Both have been in my tank for almost 2 months now, no problems before this.
I grab my net and scoop him up, he is really dry and not moving around at all. I decide ill put him back in the tank just in case. I move him back and forth in the net under the water adn let him out, he floats all the way to the bottom and lands on top of my brain coral for a second, he moves himself off of it then swims away acting like everythign was fine.
I have a canopy on the tank so he had to jump around quite a bit to get in front of the tank on the floor. Just thought I woudl share this with yall.

Wow, nice save. You do realize that the fish sent out telepathic mind signals to you to wake up.

I wonder if something spooked him enough to make the jump?

I have to say it is a little odd.

I was wondering if he got spooked too, for a second i thought hew might have gotten onto my overflow and jumped out but its not possible.
I think he just got a wild hair you know and decided to see what it was like outside of the tank and i dont think hell do it again.

Yea, he is probably telling the rest of the tank, "Well guys, I know we all have heard or seen Nemo, but I am here to tell you that one cannot jump out and make his way to the drain." :D

My yellow clown goby jumped a week ago. Unfortunately I didn't find him until that morning.
