So I recently had a bit of an impulse buy (truly not quite an impulse because I've been wanting to get these for a while), and purchased a Kuda Seahorse pair from FJW. A couple of quick questions because the internet seems to have conflicting information. How much should I be feeding daily? Right now I've been successful with doing a cube of mysis with 2 drops of Selcon, I notice that the seahorses enjoy munching on the mysis. They'll grab a 3-5 pieces each. Is that enough or should I be adding more to the system to get them to eat? The next question has to do with temperature. They are currently in my nano tank (Its a tall tank), which is plumbed to my reef tank sump. My temperature stays around 78-79F, will this end up being a major issue?

Let me know if I need to feed more... my system should be able to handle the higher nutrients with my upgraded chaeto refugium and light.

Temp is on the high end for them, but not too bad. As for the feeding, you can add fish eggs, or frozen plankton/pods to your feeding regimen. This will give them a more varied diet and is easy for them to eat as it is much smaller. As for how much to feed, if you can feed 2 times a day that will work very well. Otherwise once a day, but I would fee vitamin enriched. And quantity will depend on how well they have acclimated to their new environment, and stress level. IT may take them up to a week or more to fully settle in before their appetite really comes back. So give them time and they should come around.

Hi Bret, I'm going to increase the feedings to twice a day, do you happen to know where I can find fish eggs and the frozen plankton to get additional variety? I have to brine shrimp as well. I'm glad that they are eating nonetheless!!
