How does everyone go about killing good corals encroaching on other ones? I have some monopora that's growing onto an Acro. I was hoping that they would just "fight" and it'd be a standstill, but the monopora is clearly winning.

What does everyone do to stop the spread? I was thinking about just laying some glue across the monopora as a temporary solution, but it will eventually just grow on that and back towards the Acro again...

Plating Montipora are like aiptasia in my tanks. I told myself I’d never have one again. I’m always a sucker for the lime green one.

The way I got rid of mine is I hooked up a SS knife (any knife will work even a butter knife) to a siphon hose and I scraped it away. Takes time, but is worth it. You literally have to get every little spot clear down to the rock surface. If you don’t, it will easily grow back. I missed a couple spots and when I saw their color coming back I scraped them again until I completely eradicated the whole colony. You could also use Frank’s F-Aiptasia for harder to reach spots.

I def thought about the F-Aiptasia, but I just feel it'll grow on top of it again. I like the coral, I just want them to live together
