Does anyone know how to mod a Koralia 3 to boost flow? I thought I remembered that there was a thread on RC but I can't find it. Thx

Yes, that thread is good for K4s, but not K3s (towards the end, lots of people are asking how to mod the K3s).

K3s anyone?

It does work for the 3's...mine are modified and have been for over a month now and work great. Buy the sureflow 1600 kit and use the black prop.

Yes...just take the old prop off the original shaft and use the magnet and black prop from the sureflow kit on the original shaft. They will move a TON of water!!!

I have that mod on a MaxiJet and it makes a lot of noise when it turns on. Does this mod do the same?

No noise, but I don't use on a wavemaker.

i have also heard that using a K4 Propeller in a K3 will also increase flow. I read the entire thread.

I am using a K4 with a Sure Flow (black propeller) kit on a Seio Controller.

How many koralia's can you use on the seio controller??? Is there anyway you could use an extension cord or socket adapter to run 4 koralias instead of 2??

The K2 and K3 are the same size and those impellers are interchangable.

I think with the K3 you can either use an impeller from the hobby shop or the Eco-mod impeller.

The eco-mod prop won't give you anywhere near the flow the sureflow kit will. It's not as big or as aggressive.
