Has any one kept a lamarck angel fish in a reef tank with sps before? Iv never had any problems with my sps or corals in the past till i added the angel. Has not touched the sps when first introduce but after 3 weeks it has nipped and killed one of my sps frag now its going for a colony of sps and a colony of my chalice. Whats the best method in getting this angel fish out of a tank my size? thanks

I got about 20 sergeant major damsel out already and i need to get 6 more.
This 6 are smart, the know not to get in the trap.

Them yellowtail (way smarter) refuse to go near fish trap.

lesson for me to learn. Damsels= lots of eating and pooping.

man i just took my tank apart to get a damsel out, he was smart as heck, would go near the trap but not in. then i tried a net with food, did not work, then i tried the old just let the net sit there and when it comes near swift swing to catch him, did not work. so i had to take all the rocks out. hong get your diving gear on and go for a swim brother.

get a fish trap. only way to get them out without tearing your tank apart.

ummmm, fish trap don't always work, some fish are way to smart for those. he'll catch a lot of fish before he catches the one he wants. not knocking a trap, just not bullet proof.

Hong Had one for 2 yrs he never bothered anything. My fish trap really works well on damsels when you use brine shrimp as the bait. Have probably 30 damsels but last yr bought 8 of a species I didnt have. They tore up the sand bed on the tank for 3 weeks before I used the trap to pull them. did take 2 days

I succesfully caught two damsels out my tank before using the tiny hooks ( from Academy) with a mysis shrimp as bait. The hook will work with almost every fish. However, you have to be carefully not to hook the wrong fish:) or you may just caught the more aggressive eating fishes out with a fish trap first to make it easy to get the damsel.

I need to get my Coral Beauty out soon, it's nipping my new Pom Pom's down to the stump almost. Err. Soon as I get the net out, it hides under the 150lbs of rock. I hate taking the canopy off more than removing the rocks. 72 Bowfront, retro T5's, PC fans, led's, a pain.
