My girlfriend has one of these Leather Coral's in her tanks that is not doing so well. She's tried moving it around, higher lower for light, higher/lower flow areas and it's the only Leather coral not doing well. She has other leathers in the tanks, green polyped ones mostly, that are doing fantastic. This one just seems to not be happy all the time. She's had this one for two weeks now. This is the paramaters for the last few weeks

The lighting is dual T5 (It's like an 8" tall tank) one white, one blue. Circulation is moderate to light. Water changed are performed weekly or bi-weekly. Everything else seems to be doing fine except this one coral. Any ideas on what could be causing this one to just not be happy?

I would say just let it be, and stop moving it. It need to get accustomed to your tank conditions, kind of like adapting to your system before it will open up and become a beautiful coral for you.

SG= salinity? If so, I have a ton of cabbage that is doing awesome but I keep my salinity closer to 1.026 (hydrometer) and everything is doing great. Might bump yours up a little.

+1, leathers are easy and if you leave it alone it should do fine. Your salinity is a little low for a reef tank though, you should try to target 1.025-1.026.
