We have a leather that is normally very nice looking (big, bright yellow, and inflated) but recently it developed this mossy colored green bump (looks kind of like a marble sitting on the edge). I was going to get pictures to see if anyone had any input but it will not extend like it normally does... Has anyone seen this or know anything?

toad stool

It could be dying tissue. I had something similar happen twice to my toad stool. Once it was caused by damage from moving my aquarium. The other time was caused by something got into my water. Both times I had to cut the affect tissue off and the toad stool recovered.
