So I have my 92 corner up and running. I am heading over to Houston this weekend and would like to get my last items squared away. Mainly the lighting. In the past I used t5 and was very happy. Now I see LED everywhere and read mixed results. Cost is not a concern (within reason of course) as I learned from the past to pay up and do it once (cost less in the end).

Ok so I was thinking a 36" 6 bulb ATI fixture (mainly for penetration into the deep tank). I realize there will be some overhang but it will be hung above just above the hood that came with the tank. Does anyone know if the 24" lights have near the output as the 36" bulbs? OR I was thinking two AI sol blues and today I saw the Kessil lights ( would use two also).

Does anyone know of a store/stores which would have the ATI fixtures in Houston? Anyone use the Kessil fixture and having good results in a tank this deep? Or anyone totally different quality fixture advice would be more than welcome also. Mainly looking for end results and quality.

Thanks in advance.

I do make custom lighting solutions using leds. If you want to send me some dimensions and corals you'd like to keep along with some pictures of the tank and canopy. And I'll model up your system in 3d and write you a quote for a fixture

Not to steal gabe's thunder but I had both the Ati sunpower/powermodule as well as the AI sol blue. I've been really happen with AI sols. Have you consider the new vortech radeon light?

I used a Kessil on my 28 cube and it was ok.Only had a stylo under it rest was LPS and zoos. If I was to do it all over again I would probably have a unit built like what Gabe does. That way you can tweak the colors to your liking maybe add some uvs and what not. With a custom built unit its pretty cool when they ramp up during the day and dim at night IMO. Also with the LEDs you get such a great life out of them its really hard not to go that route.

I've been loving my Radion, the programmability is insane but they aren't cheap. Depending on what you plan to grow you would need either 1 or 2 (2 for SPS and higher light stuff). AI SOL's are very popular fixtures also.

I know Dennis at FJW has a couple of Radions, and City Pets has Kessils, Radions, and AI SOL's all in stock. City Pets also uses them all over their display tanks so you can check them out in person.

What do you have in tank.

I'm running a Tek 6 x 39 fixture on my 92 corner

Mainly lps, and softies.

Light sits on top of canopy.
