ok everyone. i am buying a WH7 and am going to run 4 18" VHO bulbs on the tank. i am also considering putting a small MH fixture on the tank. does anyone have any advice on how i can do this or any places that i can buy the stuf from for a reasonable price (1 - 100 dollars). i am about to start ordering my bulbs and i want to figure out if there is any way to run a MH on the tank.

Just so you know, a WH7 will power 2 48" VHO bulbs, so you'll need to WH7's.

I don't think they make 18" bulbs in VHO. They come in 24" 36" 46.5" 48" 60" and 72" I think. WH7 can only handle 220 watts max so 2 24" VHO, 2 36" VHO or 2 46.5 or 48" VHO

What are you trying to keep. Unless your trying to keep a clam or SPS, a MH over a 20 is not needed. IMO you should go with 2 -3 24" VHO, you could keep almost all LPS and softies. Then if you decided to go MH you would have some time to research.
