lighting for Phytoplankton (1 Viewer)

Is there any particular lighting that phyto grow better under?

Plant Grow bulb or a certian color temp ???

I just use a grow bulb from walmart by LOA; $9 for the whole setup.

I just picked up one of those lights this past weekend.

I had a patch crash on me. Day 7 it looked fine but by day 10 it was light colored and beigist sediment on the bottom of the container. Any ideas what happened?
