I've had my tank set up for about 2-3 months now and it is all going pretty well. This was my first saltwater tank, and I mainly started it because of all the interesting stuff I found while fishing on the coast. It is a 30 gallon hex, with rock up the back side with anenomes, and various fish from the coast. My problem is with lighting. The light I am using is an 18 inch, 15 watt aquari-lux from Wal-Mart in a basic kitchen fixture, so I know I'll probably need a different fixture. It is ok for general light, and gives things in the top half of the tank a good color. The problem is that it doesn't really light the whole tank very well. I see pictures of peoples fish they catch at the coast, under their high quality lights, and my fish of the same kind look nothing like them. What can I do to try and fix this. Please explain things too, because I don't know anything about lighting for the tanks. Oh, and another thing, please don't bother with expensive set-ups, because I'm doing this on a pretty small budget.
