i have a power compact ballast for (4) 55watt PC lights... can i get endcaps for T5's and use that ballast to light 54 watt T5's instead of the PC's? it seems like the T5's put out more light and since i have the ballast with ALMOST the correct wattage, that i could do that and save some money.

Who makes the ballast and what is the part # ?

Some ballasts can be used for multiple styles of bulbs, but not all. As Tim asks, what are the ballast details?

i don't really know the details of the ballast... it came in a housing with (4) 55 watt PC bulbs. 2 individual ballasts for 2 lights a piece. it was a JEBO 60 inch fixture that i took apart to mount in a hood.

nope, that's not it... the ones i have are black and are potted

If they came out of a Jebo fixture it is a good bet they will not run T5 but I cannot tell you if I don't know the exact ballast you have
