I personally like the shimmer effect of mh's but t5 will give you awesome color. i started out just wanting a fish only, then went to softies, then low light sps then higher end stuff but if i was going to go with anything other than mh i would go with t5. they arent very much more than pc and you are not limited to what you can keep in the tank. plus the actinic on a t5 fixture will make the colors stand out much much more than on pc's....

A lotta folks say they can make that leap of faith by just studying things in books when it comes to lighting, livestock and pumps and skimmers.

All I have to say about the photo's below is:

"Seeing is believing."

These 2 photo's should become the START of a MARSH reef light study and kick off a multi-level light examination of what is and what could be!

Just me $0.02.
