So my wife & I decided to attend "Financial Peace University" (a class by Dave Ramsey).

We graduated the class about 2 weeks ago.

So we are saving money smarter, spending money smarter & giving away money smarter.

According to Dave, we are supposed to have a "blow money" category in the budget.

Well I've managed to save a little bit of money towards my reef.

So the question is;

Do I spend my blow money on FLOW or on more light?

Currently my main display is lacking in both departments. I have a 36" wide tank & my 19" LED pendant isn't adequately lighting the entire tank.

OR, since I need more flow (cuz it's only my return flow right now) but only own suction cup based power heads(which I do not trust), should I upgrade to a vortech or jebao power head(which both use magnets).

So essentially, flow or light?

Personally, I would go for flow first. And use Jebao if money is tight, unless you find a good deal on a used Vortech. Or build an acrylic bracket to hold your suction cup powerheads, and go for the light first, before upgrading flow :)
