too many moving parts -- I bet there would be a lot more people take this hobby up if there were more clear answers ans easier ways to compare apples with apples :)

So how many t5's would you recomend over a 75G tank and can I run them off my icecap 430? If so, where is a good source for bulbs, reflectors and endcaps?

www.reefgeek.com is a great source.

You can only run 2, maybe 3 48" off an Icecap 430. (The maximum bulb length of 12 ft for an Ice Cap 430)

I would recommend 4 or 6 bulbs 4 a 75. Im running 4 and keep a variety of softies, LPS, some lower light SPS, a large LTA and even a deresea clam.
