Does anybody know of a Houston area source for DI Resin? I really hate to pay shipping

Let us know if you find one. I checked with CP and FJW last week and they didn't have it. Ended up costing me $176 at Bulk Reef.

YES SIR Kyle, that is an excellent idea. We should all save our old DI resin in jugs, get together once a year and go chemist:lever:

Let's discuss on Saturday. Just doing that once a year would save members gobs of money.

FYI Steve, the crack didn't cloud your vision - I saw it there too once. Not too long ago

You can buy the cartridges locally, no bulk. I tried a while back. Not cost effective at all 30+$ per.

i am thinking we should start a community bin of DI resin and every 2 months or so we all get together on a sunday, drink some beer, and play with some acid...:turboink::eyebrows::turbowhr:

DI resin is expensive and lots of work! I stop using DI resin 6 years ago, and things turned out fine! only using RO water now, my freshwater makeup typically at 30-40ppm i think (haven't check my RO conductiviy for more than a year now). Anyway folks, DI Resin is not a MUST HAVE for reef tank in my opinion.

When I initially started my 3 big tanks I was going thru a five gallon bucket every 2 months after a few bucket I bit the bullet and bought 5 to get the big discount. Now that the tank has matured dont use near as much as I used to my buckets will last a long time now. Meanwhile I have about 3 five gallon buckets of used stuff I know the recycling will be tempting at some point has anyone here actually done it and been satusfied with the results

I found it at fish gallery. It comes as a recharge with the cyclinder. And cost $32.00 after tax
