I am thinking my overflow box might be causing my algae issue so I want to swap out the tank. Plus I put a scratch in the front panel with my new frag rack. :furious3:

Looking for one that will fit my current stand. 36"x18"x18" would be ideal. Let me know where I can find one. LFS? Custom tank builder?

No custom home yet. This is just a remodeled home from the 60s. New construction should start next year. Except the price of lots in my area have gotten insane!!!

Off topic, tell me about it.
Just signed a 6 figure contract yesterday for a pool in Bellaire and the builder just added 28% on top for doing NADA.
Broker bought house 490K and 2 days later bulldozed it.

I remember the good old days of 200k lots in Bellaire.

Since your guys will be in my area any chance you have time to finish a flagstone fountain for my parent's pool? :boink:

Get a 65/G. They have the 36" length your looking for. 36x18x24

I can order you one for about $174 tank only.

Or $264 with an overflow.

This is before tax.

65g would work for me. I would want an overflow box. Just confirm with me what the overflow box would be like (since I hate the one that came with my 58g) and lets get it here.

I'll call tomorrow. Pretty sure it will be drilled for Durso Standpipes and overflow.

As long as the overflow is 1 piece then I should be happy with it. The current one is 2 thin walls that was built to pull water from the bottom of the tank. Problem is that stuff has gotten inbetween and there is no way to get it out.

Is It this the type overflow you're referring to as "two" pieces?

They all come standard like this. We could build a different overflow or get a non RR tank and drill it for different overflow. I like beananimal or C2C overflows. I have trying to get to bulkheads over the tank. It's hard to work on, the tank can't sit on the stand flush unless you have holes drilled in the bottom or cut the bulkheads down. It's just a pain. Drilling the back of the tank with external beananimal overflow is the best IMO. Almost nothing inside the tank. I have a 1.5" box inside my tank and That's it.

No kidding...prices are outrageous. I like zip 77007 but man just the lot runs you $600K. People buy these homes, demolish them and build a new home and sell for millions.

6205 Stillman, Houston, TX 77007 - HAR.com

It's not outrageous, it's the demand and ppl will pay for it.
What the worst part is all the permits now days, I had to pull a permit for planting new trees and a permit for staking the trees we planted as we went deeper than 18" into the ground with the tree stakes.
Not to mention we had a 17000 sq/ft paver drive way and 6800 sq/ft travertine paver pool deck and I got red tagged as I was 21 sq/ft over the 60% of hardscape on the entire property.
Pool that I build within City limits cost the owner about 25% more than we build it out side the City limits.
But that counts for everything, if you move into City limits your car insurance is about 6% more than in Katy, water, drainage fee, School taxes, property taxes and a new one the city is working on is Bicycle tax not only for the ppl on bikes but all who live in city limits.
I just build within city limits, take the money and spend it outside the limits.
Got to love the City!

Ok back to topic, I think he meant a Gost overflow.
