My pair of scarlet skunk cleaner shrimp are constantly trading off hatching larvae, I saw one last night was going to release larvae so I stayed up and caught a bunch of them. Going to give them a try and see if I can raise them. I'll post some pics later. Got probably 100 or so of them right now, put some S and L type rotifers in their tub for them to eat. Updates to follow.

If you want to try to catch them, a couple tips I've observed by watching my pair. The eggs will be green for most of the time, they'll turn more white one day, the next day they should be all white, and that night after lights out the larvae hatch and are released. I think its about a 2 week period from spawning to hatch-release. Keep an eye on them the first night you notice they're white, you may have missed the slight transition color change and they may release that night. Another giveaway is the eggs will appear 'looser' under the shrimp's tail the night of release, not all compact like they are when green. Depending on your light schedule, it may be an hour or two before the larvae are released so patience is required, lol.

I looked at them under my microscope, they're sooo cool way up close! I need to see if I can get a couple pics and post them.

Here is a shot of the shrimp look like you say the larvae is white now. Should I take out the filter sock in case it release the larvae when i'm not home? Possible it make it down to my sump and refugium area until i can find some live Rotfiler.

Yeah, with how loose the eggs look it should release tonight. It couldn't hurt to remove the filter sock, though if you have fish not too many of them will probably make it, it's dinner time for them! My copperband goes nuts, zooming everywhere eating them, lol.

ive noticed that when my snails spawn, i will never see babies in the main tank, refugium, or the sump. I find hundreds in my overflow, all moving and slowly building up a shell, I guess its the only safe place for them to grow.
