I have read different articles, but I want opinions. When trying to maintain Mag levels, is it better to use Magnesium Chloride / Sulfate or something like ESV B-Ionic Magnesium? I have read different articles, but I want opinions.

You really want to add a balanced product (commercial or home made). As long as the commercial product maintains the correct chloride/sulfate ratio I wouldn't worry about it.

If your fighting Bryopsis Kent Tech-M is the product to use.

Well I am not fighting anything... however I did have GHA problems a few months ago but i got that resolved. Shortly after, I do see some things that look like Bryopsis but it isn't a problem and I am not sure if that is what it really is. It is like 1 or 2 areas and i just peal it off. I just know my mag sits around 1200 and figured I should raise it, but my tank looks great.

I always used Epsom Salt for Magnesium. Cheap, easy and there is a walgreens/cvs on every freakin corner.
Mine is usually around 1300-1400.
Here's a good calculator for figuring out how much ES you would need.
'Reef Chemistry Calculator FV'
