Hey this might be a stupid question but if I run my refug light 24/7 and I'm buffering my ph for now (new system), do I have to keep maintain the ph with buffer or will the system buffer itself? The refus have live rock and cheato. Thanks!

Unless you pH is dropping too low or raising too high, there is no reason to keep a certain stable number.
It's very rare that a tank needs ph buffering, even when new.

If you do use the buffer watch out...the buffer also raises Alkalinity drastically. Seachem PH buffer is best.

i agree with Dennis. it the tank is new then i wouldnt worry so much unless you have some sticks in the tank. at that point, make sure that your pH probe is working right (that was my issue).

i now put the seachem pH buffer in my top-off. it seems to be keeping things cool i think. then you can also use the following as well.

aquavitro . balance
