My partner and I are going on a cruise next week in French Polynesia and I wanted to check if anyone was aware of any aquarium related coral/fish/clam aquaculture or mariculture operations that we could potentially visit. We will be in Papeete Tahiti, Moorea, Rangiroa, Bora Bora, Raiatea and Huahine.

You will love it. Snorkeling in bora bora was an adventure. Everyone should see/experience it at least once in a life time.

I'm not aware of any aqua/Mari operations.

Thanks RR-MAN, we have been there before and fell in love. Hopefully this trip is just as magical.

I vacationed in Moorea last November and it was amazing. We stayed at the Sofitel Moorea and they were aquaculturing corals underneath the bridges to the overwater bungalows. It was interesting but not worth making a special trip to check out.

Depending on how much time you have on the island, here are the two things I would highly recommend:
*Snorkeling at the Lagoonarium
*FranckyFranck Moorea Tour (Whole island tour/great guide and takes you to the best sights on the island)

If you can stay at one of the hutches right on the water you can step off your back door to fantastic snorkeling.
Moorea and Bora Bora are fantastic , while its been a dozen years since I was there will tell you, you might want
to pack a few snacks. When I was there a hamburger was $25 and many meals topped a $100. Except the price
of food it was a paradise.

We were on a cruise so food was free. It was a great way to see the islands.
