Howdy MARSHians! I thought I would join your club and create a build thread since I travel through Houston quite often for work and would love to be more connected in nearby clubs. With no further ado I would like to display my 120 gallon reef tank that has been running for 1 year this week. Equipment Skimmer: RE Bubble King Mini 200 Lights: Modified OR, Orphek Atlantik 1st gen, and T5s Control: Apex Classic with lunar module Flow: 2x Jebao WP-40 controlled by Apex and a Jebao DCT12000 for return Filtration: Biopelletts reactor and BRS dual carbon/GFO reactor Calcium Reactor: Reef Octopus OCT-CR140 calcium reactor Regular Maintenance Food: I feed the fish 3 times a day with my own blend of food Supplements: I dose amino acids, Lugol's solution, and KNO3 as needed Water changes: I only perform water changes when necessary, but not very often Water Conditions Alk: 10-11 dKh Ca: 420-440 ppm Mg: 1245-1365 ppm NO3: 1-5 ppm Salinity: 1.025-1.027 Temperature: 78-81 deg F

Gig'em has got a fantastic tank! Doesn't hurt that he lives 15 mins away from me. Nice to have another acro brother nearby who can help in acro-related emergencies like... Oh no, I'm out of CaRX media, can I borrow some dead acro skeletons to throw in my CaRX? Or, do you have any Bayer, Home Depot stopped selling it... Lastly, have a superglue? I got an acro STNing on me!

Glad you joined Marsh bud. There are some great reefers here and a very supportive community.

It's been a while since I've updated the thread, so I thought I would make a quick post. A few months back I bought a dual chamber MRC calcium reactor while in Houston and I installed it a couple weeks ago. Best move I've made all year! My alk has been super stable since then and I have hardly had to make any adjustments to it.

A couple months ago I picked up a tank bred long tentacle plate coral. Loving this little guy so far, hopefully it'll grow up and live a nice long life.

Also received an order from AquaSD today that with corals that have tons of potential. I'm hopeful the colors will remain and become more vibrant and pronounced with time.

Got my hands in the tank today to reposition some frags, pull some algae, and took a few shots while I had the pumps off.

Thanks bud. Yeah maybe one day I'll get a premium membership and bring some frags down because my rack is overflowing these days

Just give me that ugly pink tabling thing and I bet you can squeeze in 4 more colonies there.
