Hello everyone!

MARSH needs some volunteers :) As many of you know, MARSH is putting on a big one day coral convention, with 3 nationally known speakers and vendors from Houston and all across the country. Steve Tyree and his Coral Farmer's Market is co-hosting the event, so you can expect a lot of great corals from him and our well-known vendors. Matt Pederson (well known for his saltwater fish breeding, the Marine Breeding Initiative, and his lightning maroons), John Coppolino (copps on forums, major SPS and angelfish guru), and Bob Fenner (WetWebMedia) are all flying here to give talks for us. Our current vendor list is: Addicting Corals, Blue Water Tropicals, Boston Aqua Farms, Building an Obsession, FJW, Gonzos Coral Frags, High Def Corals, RAP, Reef Farmers, Reef Raft USA, ReefKoi Corals, The Coral Shop, The Ijam Coral Company, World Wide Corals, and Zoanthids.com. Its getting close now, on February 22nd!

We need everyone's help getting the word out. We have a lot of flyers for the event, the BOD has been getting them posted around Houston. If we could get some help from a few MARSHians it would spread the word much faster! We need people going around and posting the flyers up around town wherever we're allowed to - at LFS, at Petco's or other pet stores, anywhere else that might help people learn about the event who may be interested in coming.

If you're willing to help get a couple flyers out, please post here or PM me. We'll get the flyers to you.

The more advertising we can get out, the better turnout we'll have! As this is a first year event, if we can get a lot of people out to it, we'll be able to keep this event going annually.

Schools, clubs and community centers would all be good places to put the flyers as well.

Thanks for all the responses so far! Most all of the BOD's have anywhere from 50-100 fliers. Figure out which one is in your area of town and make arrangements to meet up with them to get a few.

I'm on the north side of town and also in the 290 & 610 area. If you need some fliers from me let me know and we can meet up at either FJW or somewhere on the north side.

We really really really need y'all's help getting the word out about Reef Currents!!! We want this to be a successful event. That can only happen with a large member turn out!

I just left a pile of flyers at FJW. If anyone needs some feel free to take some. I'll be stopping by again tomorrow to bring more if needed.
