Tank Maintenance





Hey Marsh-Reef Family, we know you all work very hard on your tank from DIY, cleaning glass, changing media, feeding to water changes, etc... let's give yourself a "Labor Day" special. With a photo of you doing what you do to maintain your Reef tank! For this month's contest, we are doing a "Tank Maintenance" Photo. So get that camera out and snatch a picture of all the hard labor you do for your Reef tank! Don't be shy and let's have some fun!

I was talking to @RR-MAN this morning about tank maintenance. He reminded me to check on my CO2. Perfect timing it was emptyed. Drove to Praxair they are not the same company anymore. Some other company now but they still swap out CO2 10LB bottle for 24$. Just a FYI.

Some of the fish, especially the yellow tang, love chasing the algae that comes off the glass.

Yay I guess it's a weekend type of work for us reefers! Keep them coming.

Some glass cleaning. Ignore the bare white spot on the monti, it does that some times and I have plenty...

I didn’t take any pictures of doing the work, but today I cleaned my sump. Drained it with a python, then vacuumed it out with a shop vac. Then scraped and scraped until I could scrape no more. It’s not perfect, but so much better than before.
