How big do mini carpet anemones (Stichodactyla tapetum) get? I have about a 8 inch hole I left perposly for a carpet anemone and would rather have a smaller one than a giant fish eating monster. Thanks!

8" area is fine, they don't get that big, but it's an anemone. It might not like the 8 " area you picked for it.

Carpet anemones are known tank roamers. I love them, but could never own one since I don't want anything knocked over.

mini carpet anemones (Stichodactyla tapetum) get about 1.5" MAX!

I have a few in my tank from the previous tank and the biggest they got so far is the size of a dollar coin.

But like any anemone they will not stay put unless they like it there.
