I’m sure a good bit of you are on moonshiners. My question is about the ICP testing. Is anyone using the member perk kits for their testing rather than ATI? I would prefer to save a few bucks this way. I’m sure there are downsides but is it really worth the extra money and headache?

They aren't compatible with the dosing calculators. All of the tests give slightly different readings and the creator felt ATI gave the most accurate and consistent results so the program is built around ATI. You can over and under dose using the other tests. Triton is a close second with very similar results. These other tests are great for emergency if you think something is off, cheap with fast turn around, but won't fit the program.

Thinking about trying this method. I hate water changes and already run a ca reactor but feel like my trace elements are quickly depleted.

How/what are your results with this program? Can anyone share?

thanks
I'm not a Facebook guy cause MySpace got me into too much lady troubles... 🤣 I wish he had a website of his own. You can follow him on reef2reef but I just stay with Marsh.

He has one.

This is a great method if you are aiming for SPS and less water changes. Takes out the guess work, just takes a bit of time for your tank to adjust to the changes, then stuff just takes off.

It’s one of the better methods out there. Triton is too strong for most smaller tanks and they try to give you a silver bullet instead of addressing individual needs. Some elements may not need supplementation. Every tank is different.

Andre’s system is spot on for your individual system. It’s real simple. Test and send in ICP’s and you can dial it in perfect. His calculator alone pays for the system. Simply put in your numbers and calculate exactly what you need to dose. Once you figure out how much your system is consuming of each element, you can add it back consistently and watch your growth explode. The corals get exactly what the need consistently.
