Moving day is fast approaching. I have a 75G that's been up for 6-7 years. Most of the livestock is gone and I'm down to just a hand full of fish and corals that I'll need to deal with. I do have a 20g AIO that can temporarily house them for up to a week while I get the main system moved and back up. I know I'll probably have some corals not make it but I'm hoping to prevent that as much as possible. The larger rock has a bunch of bubble tips on it and I have not been able to get them off. I am hoping that if I put that section in a sealed tub with a few inches of water that the nems may just self release and have some water to land in and keep them alive so I can get rid of them.

Plans are on the 13 or 14th to reclaim up to 90% of the existing tank water as well as have an additional 40g saltwater ready to go at the new house.
Put the rock in large tubs and cover with several layers damp newspaper to minimize biofilm loss.
Discard the old sand bed and replace with 30-40 pounds of Caribsea Ocean direct sand.
Move the tank stand rock and water.
Setup the system at the new house - Replace all union o-rings to prevent leaks as well as install the upgraded sump, new sand existing rock and water to get the system back up and running as quickly as possible. Also possibly replace the leveling mat as it is 6 or so years old.
Once up and running, dose the tank with starter culture, and Prime to handle any loss from the rock being out of water /ammonia spikes.
Let the tank stabilize for at week before re-introducing the livestock.

I'm estimating 6-7 hours to complete this as I'm probably going to have to do most of it myself.

Does anyone have any other suggestions or see anything I may have missed?

Thanks for the input and offer. I was planning on picking up a couple sterilite containers with air tight lids large enough to hold the rock with a couple inches of water. I figured that would prevent splash out and keep things contained and minimize loss for the couple hours the rocks will be out of the water. Then the starter bacteria and Prime to handle any potential loss/ammonia spike. I can probably get away with filling the tub with the nems up to keep them from taking too hard a hit.

Forget the Prime...
