I showed her this pic:
crosshatchtrigger2.jpg

She knows exactly what they are and the conversation went like this:

Her - "No, not until we get a bigger tank and it's well established."

Me - "But we have the 200, and they're triggers. You know how hardy they are."

Her - "They come in at least 6 to 8 inches and that's a 4 ft tank. So no."

Me - "I can build a bigger one!"

Her (quoting Field of Dreams in a low whisper) - "If you build it they will come."

Me - "Oh, you just messed up woman! I'm gonna start planning the new tank right after I post this conversation!,"

Does she know the price tag. :)

I was dumb enough to tell my wife the price on these fish.

Actually yes, I've been lusting after them for years. From way back when the cheapest pair I could find was $2,400 and I would've had them then except we were planning our move back to Texas. The $900 from Diver's Den is a bargain as far as we're concerned.

If I ever win the Lotto I'm building a 10,000 gallon tank with a house around it and several pair of Crosshatch triggers. Ofc, I have to play to win...

Do you remember my 300? Tons of tangs, I love them! Definitely with you on that one.

Flex has anyone had any luck with the Bluespot Ray is this the one they also call the Ribbontail. I researched them a little when I was setting up the Shark/Ray tank for the school but I felt I needed something a little hardier. Beautiful fish. And the Crosshatches for sure.

yes the ribbontail.
honestly i have not seen to many tanks with them, but i do know one of my local stores sell them, but a lot of his customers aren't on marsh and i doubt any of them take time to research the care before buying.

Honestly, since i don't have a big enough tank for one, i never bottered to look into their care. looks like i would have to tend to it quite a bit.
they are hard to keep.
