Well, I got my 2 nanoskimmers today, managed to force it into the back of my 24 cube, I don't see any way of getting the other into the back of my 6.

The good is it's very quiet.

The bad is it's oddly shaped and hard to fit into the back of a nanocube. I'm going to see how it works and then probably try to modify it.

I've been palying with it since Tuesday, and finally have it in the way that I want, fits in the middle compartment with plenty of room to spare, Just required a little creativity.
I've been adjusting the flow on it and still don't have it quite right so it's still pulling to much water. The pump is not easy to fine tune. so in answer to your question it's pulling light color right now but I think that once I get it right it will work pretty well.

During the last 3 hours I got the second skimmer into the 6 gal. A little cursing, but got it in. Then I discovered it the pump doesn't pull air. A little more cursing and I found the cheap glued in airhose had a small piece in the pum guard that was acting as a flap to cover the opening if that makes sense. A little work with the Xacto and we're in business!!!

I'll update in a few days, now that I think I have both set correctly.

I got mine a week ago, and had the exact same problem (glue blocking the air injection), and one of the elbows had multiple cracks. One thing i can see is going to be a problem...the collection cup is very small. It has a little drain, but its not above the lip of the tank, so im not sure how to get it to another container. I thought about splicing and air pump into the drain line, to create a constant vacume...just an idea.

Good Idea!
I've been emptying both of mine daily, and couldn't figure out how to attach anything to the drain.

they are suppose to fit the 12 also. I actually think they were made more for the 12 than the 6.

Is your new 12 gal tank a nano cube? did you have to make any mods to the skimmer for it to fit in the back compartment? also any problem with your tank getting too warm?

Yes it is a nano cube. I have not put the skimmer in the rear compartment yet. The tube between the power head & skimmer is to short, it will not allow you to swing the skimmer to the top of the power head. I have to get a plastic to tube to do it. Also the hard tubing is to wide for the RC, So it will have to be flexable plastic tubingfrom PH to skimmer, it should fit after that. Yes the tank seams to be a little warmer then is required for salt water with just 48w of lighting. Day time temp has gotten as high as 85 degrees.

little skimmer

I have one and am not happy with it yet. It was somehow causing water to come up into the light cover and caused salt creep to get around one of the fan blades. It must need some tweaking and I'm not sure how to do it. If I figure it out, I'll let ya know.

Were do you have yours placed at?

It's in the back sump area on the far right side. The least access friendly place for me because the tank sits close to a corner wall. In a few weeks, this tank becomes a QT tank and will be moved to a better location but for now it's a bit of a pain to tweak the skimmer. :( If placing it in the middle chamber would help, I'll move it. Any thoughts on that?

I have mine in the tank itself right now. Iwas thinking of moving it to the center in the back.
What did you use for the connection between th PH & skimmer as mine wont fit the plastic tubing.
I have had mine for only 2 weeks now. No salt problem yet.

I have mine in the center chamber on both the 24 and the 6. I used one of the elbows ans th ph suction holds the whole thing on the left side.

I have a 12 gal nano. Tried putting it in the tank but to keep aprt of it above the water line I cannot close the cover. Also too many bubbles in the tank. What if anything have you done to get rid of all the bubbles?
