My nano cube is a little over a year old, and today my mom accidently unplugged it from the wall. When she replugged it in the filter (pump) stopped working. I think it is a wireing problem, can anyone help?

what kind of nano cube?

did you remove the pump and clean it? Being a year old I would think there is quite some crud build up there unless you got one of the cheapie cubes like Oddyssea and in that case the pump might have seized up at the magnet part.

Either way pull the pump and see whats the deal.

its a nano-cube brand nano cube, a 12 gallon dx version. I went to my local petco and the guy there said theres nothing i can do to fix it, i will just have to buy a new pump.

How is that end up with nothing you can do to fix it?

Simple fix that actually should have been an upgrade when you got the tank.

Get a Maxi-Jet 900 to replace that pump... less wattage consumption then the MJ1200 but puts out almost as much in GPH.

surfer_dude: Take it to BAA before you throw it away. Who knows what the PETCO guy knows. Maybe you just have to clean it out like ek said.
