Our stray rescue cat cut the wire to my APEX display and I can't control anything for a water change. Normally, this wouldn't be a problem because of the Fusion app but we recently got a new modem/router and the APEX won't connect to Fusion. Usually when we lose power I turn DHCP off, back on, then restart the APEX. Well, I can't turn the DHCP off without the display to get connected to Fusion so I can control it through my phon until I get a new wire. Any help is greatly appreciated. I was going to splice it but I guess that's not an option.

Not sure, but a lan connection and a laptop might be the solution for now.

You can try and splice it just don't let the bare wire and the insulated wire touch. It may have burnt some thing out when he chewed on it so it still may not work. Worth shot!!

For future reference, it sounds like you need to open a port in your firewall that allows fusion in from the outside. A firewall is a program running in your router protecting you from attack from the outside. It won't help much with the cat but it should return your connection to Fusion as it was before.

Nop. The reason of fusion is avoid all the port forwarding problems.
You have several ways of access the apex without the display:
1. If you are lucky and your dns can resolve the name, open a web browser and type http://apex , if everything is setup correctly you should be able to see the old programming interface.
2. Download the apex firmware update tool, open the tool and press the browse icon next to the apex name/ip, this will open another window and show you the ip of all the apex controller in your network.then take note of the ip and open a web browser and type http://yourip (i.e.: 192.168.1.100)
3. Download and ip scan tool like ipscan.exe, this tool will help you to find the apex ip.

If you didn't change your default setting, the username is admin and the password 1234 or 12345.

Good Luck
