Saw this guy today in my tank. Have not added any coral, rock, or fish in months.

It has a stem and tentacles. The tentacles spread out about the size of a dime. It is the only one in my tank.

I hope it's not aptaisia.

Can anybody tell me what it is and how to get rid of it if harmful?

Looks like aiptasia. Use aiptasia x or lemon juice.
