What’s everyone think about this. Cheap starter kit. Limited supply.

doesnt really seem like a bargain to me.. basically they are charging you full price but are giving you the cheap float switch for free. This package doesnt include the EB832 power bar, that will cost you an additional 249... the full kit is 499

Yeah with all the add ons it adds up. Can you use eb8 with these or only the new one?

It's $249 For EB832. The 2016 Apex units are backwards-compatible meaning they work with the Classic EB8's. However, the EB832 will not work with the Classic units.

I would buy the $499 package. You'll be glad you did.

I was thinking it might be a cheap upgrade for someone that has a classic/jr, already has all the equipment and just want a new brain as this will work with the trident.

If you don’t have an apex getting one at reef currents was a good deal I got my el well it was my dads but he gave it to me. We got it for $100 off if I’m not mistaken or it might have been $50. either way that brs one seems pointless. Apex is always going to be a high dollar piece of equipment. But it really isn’t crazy expensive save for a month or to and you can get one.

Just as a FYI for everyone: The EB8 and EB832 only difference is the current reading iirc. I think the 832 can tell read the individual outlet amperage.

I just realized that my EB832 has all relay outlets! Yay! Like an idiot I plugged low wattage equipment into 4 and 8. Haha.

The Energy Bar 832 has been completely redesigned, with more robust outlets, individual LEDs show the status of each outlet, per outlet power consumption, and 1Link Accessories like the DOS and WAV pump can now connect directly to the Energy Bar 832 saving room, and eliminating messy cords keeping your tanks equipment looking perfect.
8 Relayed Outlets
Up to 3 WAV pumps
2x 24VDC accessories
Powers other 1Link Accessories
Individual outlet power consumption

Dimension - Energy Bar 832 - 10" L x 6.5" H x 2.25" W

Not compatible with Classic Apex Controller Systems.

Energy Bar 832
The completely redesigned Energy Bar 832 now has eight individual, 7 amp relayed outlets letting you use any outlet for any device. Each individual outlet can also monitor and detect power usage in amps or watts, letting you set alarms and send emails when pumps have clogged or failed, lights are not turning on, heaters leaking current, letting you be notified of the issue before it becomes a problem. With electricity costing more and more money per Kilowatt hour having the ability to monitor each pump, heater, and light lets you now make better decisions on the overall value of your equipment.

Each Energy Bar 832 is equipped with two 24VDC accessory ports that can power small pumps, solenoids, fans and more, while the built in 100W DC power supply lets you control up to 3 1Link accessories like the WAV circulation pumps, and DOS fluid metering system without the need of any additional power supplies or consuming additional outlets. The EB832 also has 3 AquaHub connections letting you expand to any existing or upcoming module making your Apex System truly limitless.

Neptune didn't stop there, with an all new mounting system on the Energy Bar orients the power strip in the correct direction keeping cords neat and tidy. While the outlets have a bit wider spacing, and orientated opposite of each other keeping room for those bulky transformers, allowing you to plug in almost anything you want, where you want.

Whats Included?
1x Energy Bar 832
1x 3ft Aquabus Cable

Note: The Energy Bar 832 is not compatible with Classic Apex Controller Systems.
