was at a League City LFS this weekend to grab a new heater for my QT, and they had some red pincushions that caught my eye. I lost a tuxedo a while back, and had been on the lookout for a halloween, but this nice red pincushion seemed like a good addition.
So far, it's moved a bit up the front glass, but isn't really going anywhere. My tuxedo would move all over the tank constantly. This pincushion seems happy in one brightly lit spot near a powerhead exhaust. Not sure if it's still acclimating, or just lazy. I tried to hand it some nori - the tuxedo would have taken it - but it let the nori drift away after a minute.
My back wall has plenty of coralline and I've got plenty of rock to crawl on. We'll see what happens.

Anyone have a new urchin just hangout in one spot for a few days?

I've never had a fish mailed. I might, nothing against online vendors, and I think Dr Reef is supposed to be pretty good, but I like going to the LFS, so I support them. And I'm more of a gatherer for my tank, I'm not trying to have it all set up at once - so I'm not highly motivated to mail order my specific fish list.
You're right, League City doesn't have shops like the west side of Houston. I actually think our Petco is good - the one at I45 and 646. I watched a manager training a new employee and was surprised by the attention to detail. I have some fish from there - no issues. The shop I was referring to is rainforest - they're not a SW specialist, or even a fish specialist, but it seems they are making a run at it again - they had much nicer fish last week than I am used to seeing in there, and its close to my house so its convenient. I can't run out across Houston everytime I need something - Rainforest has placed orders for me for supplies for stuff they don't have on hand and usually has frozen food and basic supplies, Petco has a list of fish they can call and get, I still like FW so I enjoy going in to Aquazoo now and then, and the Fish Bowl in Pearland.

Was wondering if it was Rainforest. I know @Reefahholic has gone there many times before, but I pass by it and never stop. Glad to hear they are starting to have a go at it. I assume their supply prices are on par with Petco and what not?

The Petco on i45/646 is very good.... for being a Petco. Don't be fooled though, it's plagued with diseases. I still buy fish from there occasionally, but I do a full QT treatment for everything I get (other than if I am buying a fully QT'd from a reputable QTer). AquaZoo used to have some SW but the last time I was there they had almost nothing. Fishbowl is decent.

With a few exceptions, I find their supply prices to be on par with everyone else, and they have a pretty good reward system. The stuff I've had them special order for me (both "gear" and "supplies") has been the same price as I can find it online before the reward, but I don't worry about it sitting on the porch, and its an excuse to go back in to. It's kind of funny - the owner and I think previous manager had a lot of SW personal experience, but the shop is definitely geared toward rainforest type pets.

Honestly, I've not been to every LFS in the Houston metro area, but I've hit most of the big name ones and almost all the sponsors. I've liked them all. I've had maybe one bad experience where I said there's no reason for me to drive past anywhere else to come here again, and it is a shop that gets a lot of rave reviews on this board. I won't name them - I'm chalking it up to a bad day.
