I have tank runing for 2 months my ammo. 0 rite. 0 rate. 10 phos. 2.0
is this normal , I know phos is bad how do i get rid of it? i have some green hair alge growing and some lil small falt patches of green alge also alot of purple stuff started to cover my live rock.
My set up is 72gal tank with about 100lbs of live rock ,hang on over flow box with skimmer in the and some sword blade grass (i think thats what it called i guess some kind of seaweed ) Before i had bio balls and filter pads because someone told me that holds nitrate so i took it out ( is this true? ). and my lights is 2 corallife 65w bulbs one 10k and antic blue lights and also marine glow 48" bulb it set on a timer for 9 hrs aday

also i have sailfin tang and 2 lil green spotted puffer and snowflake eel
green spoted puffer been in the tank for about 1.5month , snowflake eel about 3weeks and sailfin tang 2 weeks

i feed my eel krill/siver sides every 3 days my puffer every other day (flakes / pellets / brine ), my tang eat alge off my rocks and what ever my puffer eat . I don't feed alot . i swtich the food up alots , so they have diffrent stuff to eat . they all seem fine .

i'm new to what i'm doing . i keep reading about salt water but i guess i'm a big dumbie and don't really under stand it still .

can someone help me out? To how to better run my tank or any info on what do ? Or what i did wrong? Or any stuff i can buy or look for?

phospates are high. thats what making your algea grow. use ro/di water to top off and for waterchanges. you could run a phosbane reactor to help remove the phospate already in your system.
