It's at my workplace, we are remodeling and to my surprise a tank is going in from Fish Gallery but it's going to be Freshwater.

Here are some pictures:

i have seen some beautiful fresh water setups, it's all about planning, scaping and lighing just like saltwater.
planted tanks are bad (watch your mouth) if done right. and with the use of led lights you won't get that ugly yellow looking tank. you can have a crytal clear tank, i have seen it done with T-5ho's as well.

Also if anyone knows of someone that can make custom made decorations for the inside as the higher up's are asking if a city theme like Houston or Medical Center can be made to put inside, guess they saw "Tanked" and got ideas. If you know someone that does that let me know.

I didn't get the exact dimensions yet but I believe it's about 400 Gallons

Mmm............ freshwater with overflows?? I have about 30+ years into freshwater and for the last 8 months into saltwater (yes I'm a rookie). But freshwater can be awesome too, especially when it's a planted scape one but tell your higher ups that they have the wrong tank for that you want bottom drain and returns for a tank like that.

It would look awesome with some driftwood and Texas holey rock.

If you stick with a good filteration system, fresh water set ups are so easy to maintain. If I ever get tired of my reef, it's becoming a Cichlid tank.

Go planted!! FW can actually look very cool if done right, I have seen some incredible tanks over at plantedtank.net.

Here is my first stab at a low-tech planted:
