Hello everybody, i just moved to houston from austin and I wanted to share what I have. I was keeping one 75 gallon tank in austin with sps and zoos. After keeping them for awhile i realized i loved both but they just didnt work that well together (for me at least). So when i moved i decided to upgrade slash downgrade, i went with two 40 gallon breeder tanks.
The one for the sps has a sump, skimmer, 6x39 t-5's, and carbon/gfo reactor. The polyp tank has no sump only a sall hob filter, power heads, and a 4x39 t-5 fixture.
When i came up with the idea for the tanks i wanted them to be side by side with a water reservoir in the middle. Do to the size of the place i moved into i had to separate them for now.

this is some of the work from the start, well post more pictures later just need to upload them. Pics where taken with iphone so sorry if they suck.

any comments are welcome

here are some pictures once they were done. I am not a huge fan of the corrugated steel but my friend that helped me build it really wanted to use it. I tried it but i will end up changing it out once i find something that is more to my liking.

i also need to get some pictures with something other than my phone : )

I think the steel would look better framed. The stands look awesome, I really like the concept.

I would paint the background blue or black.
I can take pics for you antime you want, as long as it's on a weekend.

Nice, now I know who to come to for a stand.

What part of town do you live in?

thanks for all the nice comments i will be sure to keeping adding pics as things come along. they are already starting to get better the sps tank just needs more coral.

I am living in the montrose area, i got a place without even looking at it due to time. its a little smaller than i hoped so the tanks couldnt go together but once the lease is up i will make sure i get a place where they can.
