also if they have laid eggs they might just come back so go over multiple times over the sand and check you live rock since most worms eat decaying matter or algae so they might to areas were that is like rocks or sand

Ok I see sooooo many “WHAT IS THIS” posts. I decided to make a thread where people can come look BEFORE they post. SO I hope this helps someone. Also help pass this along to anyone who is looking for an ID. Its taken me a while but let me know if I forgot anything I will add it. Its going to be v...
Oh I don't plan to put them back in, the question is how detrimental are they, and what should I do about any others (leave them be vs. active eradication). These four were pretty big, but I scooped up the mangrove trees/sand piles with a shovel and transferred 3 huge scoops, so I doubt t I go them all. Here's some more pictures.

In my limited research, the evil bobbit worm has 5 tentacles on the mouth... this only seems to have two. I would not be surprised if it's a eucilid species, though. still shopping. Another option would be Oenone Fulgida, but those tend to be orange from what I'm reading. If it was that would explain my perpetual tridacna clam loss, though.
my Latin is rusty. Eunice means species or is it already descriptive of the aphrogitois? (i.e. is Eunice a common description for different types of worms in one family or unique to the bobbit worm?)
The more I look at them, the more I think it’s just 1 worm that I chopped up a few times while digging through the sand to move the mangrove trees. I’ve only seen 1 head on all the worms.
