Ok so I have bought this 210gal with 180gal sump. I have filled it add 200lbs of dead rock. It has been going for 3 weeks now and the ammonia is at 0. Nitrite levels still 1.6. Question is when I moved my 140 into the 180 sump, I was able to use all of the water, sand and live rock 200+ lbs. Will this be enough to filter out remainder of the nitrite in the top tank? I have a few softies in the lower tank, along with some zoas and mushrooms. I dont want to kill anything, but I want to get these two tanks running togther. Will these levels hurt my frogspawns? Zoas? GTBA?

Why didn't you seed the 210G with a few pieces of live rock from the 140?
In any case, I would wait till the nitrite go down to 0.

I did with about 50lbs and put 50lbs of dead rock with the 140gal system in the sump to help out with cycle.

So you started with 50 lbs live rocks and 50+200=250 lbs of dead rocks?
That would take a while to cycle.
It also depends how much die-off you still had in the dead rocks or if they were completely cured when you started.
