so ha anyone else been affected by the whole no-ip.com issue? I was and was going to attempt to change my dynddns for my apex but the site is down.

so to all apex users....what are you using? also if you can please let me know and I might need to get you to walk me through setting a new one up. don't mind paying for your time.

What do mean issue with microsoft? I'm on a mac and I just checked and it seems to be down. Was fine yesterday.

edit: nevermind. Just read their statements on their website.

yeah i got an email about it and was a bit distraught. i tried calling their number they provided...instant voicemail with notation that they are "fully aware of the problem". so my thought: big f-in deal, what do we do now. then i was reading some blogs about the whole cleansing of free DYNDNS programs sent to the wayside. i guess i have to suck it up nancy and pay for the service now.

i ended up running through DNY.com (which is recommended by APEX). $25.00 annaul cost. super simple to set up. the funny thing is that it took longer the set-up my account then getting my system back on line. i was super surprised and am on that skeptic mode that since it was too easy, something is going to mess up.

Why not Fusion? It works fine, you don't need to worry about a third party provider for your dns, notifications work as simple as it could be and the better thing... It is FREE.

The no-ip issue has been fixed.
Back to business as usual.
