Well the dreaded happened again. Last wednesday my third Oceanic 72 reef-ready bowfront sprung a leak.(bottom seal). This is my third tank in 3 years. I was home when it happened so I only lost about 8 gallons.
I called Oceanic and complained and told them I refused to put another bowfront tank in my house, and asked them what they could do for me. (At first I was told that the person who makes that decision had gone home, and I could call back tomorrow) After a little bit of the run around, I got upgraded to a 90 gallon reef-ready, they exchanged the tank stand and canopy.
It took a couple of days to get everything transfered over and settled down, but all is doing well. The only thing I lost was a fairy wrasse, and my xenia doesnt look real well right now, but thats minor.
All in all it went as good as it could, and it could have been a lot worse.
