Can't you turn off the app and go through a browser? I've never used the app and don't seem to have those problems...

i use browser but only get the notification when i open it up, doesnt send push if browser is closed for a period of time

Im good now, I set up to get email notifications for this thread so I've been using that as my push notification for my mobile browser.

I use the browser on my phone. I don't get notifications outside the site but can easily refresh the page and can see if there are new posts or notifications.

Seems like it's fair to expect us to make a little effort for a free chance to win stuff... personally, I think for this particular game, you should let those who take the time to check the site get the numbers... as long as it's not a matter of an app/browser not showing current posts when we refresh. Heck, this isnt even Easter eggs, we know where to look!
