Odd looking thing in my tank (1 Viewer)

looks like sponge growth to me. dont know what the little critters on it is though.

it's a sponge and the little bugs are sometype of a pod...i've got tons of them. if there isn't enough food in the tank for them to eat they will feed on any food source that they can find. from sponges to even zoas that aren't healthy. i've got a small piece of rubble that had some zoas on it that for some reason didn't open and the pods would feed on that little piece until all the tissue was gone.

That's not a sponge, my rock has a yello-greem tinit to it.

I don;t think they are a pod. They don't have any legs I can see, no antini, and the slither around when they move, not craul.

Have you attempted to take one out of the tank for a closer look? By the markings on some in the 2nd pic I'd almost think chiton.

Do they have a hard or leathery kind of "shell" or covering? They look to be segmented, are they?

Can you get a macro shot of one? Top down and bottom up?

I have not tried to take one out yet. I have not touched one either. I'll see if I can get one out later to take a pic.
