it's a sponge and the little bugs are sometype of a pod...i've got tons of them. if there isn't enough food in the tank for them to eat they will feed on any food source that they can find. from sponges to even zoas that aren't healthy. i've got a small piece of rubble that had some zoas on it that for some reason didn't open and the pods would feed on that little piece until all the tissue was gone.

I don;t think they are a pod. They don't have any legs I can see, no antini, and the slither around when they move, not craul.

Have you attempted to take one out of the tank for a closer look? By the markings on some in the 2nd pic I'd almost think chiton.

Do they have a hard or leathery kind of "shell" or covering? They look to be segmented, are they?

Can you get a macro shot of one? Top down and bottom up?
