This is my 125 us gallon coral reef...no sump and just salinity testing during water changes. I do a 10 gallon water change every 4 weeks But every 6 months or so I might do a 20 gallon water change using a garden hose to drain. Recently I did an experiment comparing Sarnia tap water to store bought ro water and in terms of algae growth (very little) I found little difference. So I am staying with just using tap water along with prime water conditioner. I feed my fish a tangs veggie flake food. yellow tang, yellow tailed blue tang, mandaren, damsels, urchant, red brain, small crocera and maxima clams, donut, bubble, buttons, mushrooms, and so on.

Flipsides tank is super nice! Saw that bad boy in person a few weeks ago.

Nice systems everyone!

Leo, sad to say it but the subaru died yesterday. Check out the lounge.

Yeah, I replied to you over there, man. :( Sorry to hear about that, but glad you're okay. That was a sweet ride, dude!

Thanks for kind remarks too. I just added a Ca reactor and a kalk reactor last night. What a PITA! Numbers look pretty good, though! :)

I really like the last tank put up. I was heading in that direction until I got the long spine black urchant. But he does help me keep my tank clean. This shot shows my power heads and insulation to help keep my electricity consumption low. As well it shows my sheers over my window. Every few years I take the back board off the aquarium to do maintenance and cleaning. People walking by can view my aquarium from the street at night through the sheers.
