Picked up the rock with Ostentum's snowflake/black ice eggs on it on 5/7.

They hatched the night of 5/9, I got an estimated 150 to hatch. This is the first time I've tried to raise clownfish larvae, its been a bit of a learning experience! I lost most of them on days 2 and 3, but I have approx 40 left. They're going through metamorphosis right now, so I'm anxious to see how many make it through that. About half of them are showing at least a little stripe today (day 10). They grew a little slower than normal because I didn't have a heater in with them for the first few days.

Today (5/20)

How many are looking like snowflakes? Are did a majority come out looking like normal clowns. Cause you would think that a Black Ice Mother and Fancy Snowflake Father would produce a majority with a snowflake patterning.

They've just barely begun showing their first stripe, I won't know if they're snowflakes for a week or two more.

That's awesome! Nice work....

Even though I've kept fish all of my life I've never had any interest in breeding fish until recently. I'm really considering using my frag tank as a frag/breeder tank. Really cool seeing you guys be successful with these guys.

Good to know, I was hoping that was the case. It looks like most of them have that white cap, there are still some that are going through metamorphosis so don't know on all yet.

Well as their second stripe continues to develop, its apparent even now that there's going to be a few real lookers in this batch :)

Baby brine shrimp, but I'll start them very soon on cyclopeeze and otohime. Wanted the last of them to make it through metamorphosis first before going off live food, and they're finally doing it :)
