Ok so I believe I have been struck by the dreaded Palytoxin! Two nights in a row cleaning one of my tanks that have green palys. Kinda dug in deep in one of the frags to clean the hair algae off…first night my right hand was hit via a few minor cuts on my thumb. Could barely sleep! Then last night…leds aggressive cleaning but seemed to get some inside an unknown abrasion on my left hand… now my index finger is swollen stiff! Lol for those wondering…it’s no joke and I’m feeling like I’m lucky…and ready to give away these green palys!!! Be careful reefers!

Gloves are your friend... Especially if you have open cuts!

Sounds like it could be an infection. If it gets worse, go see a doc.

swelling is going down…definitely using gloves from now on! I feel indestructible at times because my immune system is so strong…stupid thought process lol. Could be the death of me!
